Instructions to Authors

Manuscripts submitted for evaluation should be original and not previously presented or published in any electronic or print medium. If a manuscript was previously presented at a conference or meeting, authors should provide detailed information about the event, including the name, date, and location of the organization.

Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the Standard Article Template. The template can be accessed via [link here].

1. General Formatting

  • The main text should be written in Bookman Old Style, 11-point font size, 1.5 line spacing, and justified alignment.
  • Each paragraph should begin with a 1 cm indentation, and paragraph spacing should be set to 6 pt before and after.
  • Page margins must be set as follows: Left and right: 3 cm, Top: 3 cm, Bottom: 3 cm.
  • All text must be fully justified.

2. Title and Page Layout

  • The main title of the article should appear on the first page, in 14-point font, bold, title case, and centered.
  • The first page should also include the Abstract (in Turkish and English) and Keywords.
  • Section titles such as Introduction, Conclusion, Extended Abstract, and References should be aligned to the left, written in 14-point bold font, with only the first letters capitalized, and spaced 14 pt before and after.
  • Subheadings should be numbered (1., 1.1., 1.2., etc.), written in 12-point bold font, with each word capitalized, and spaced 12 pt before and after.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • The Abstract (in both Turkish and English) should be written in Bookman Old Style, 10-point font, justified, and italicized for the Turkish version.
  • The abstract should be a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 300 words.
  • It should clearly state the aim of the article, assumptions, hypotheses, and scope.
  • Keywords should contain at least 5 terms, with each word capitalized.

4. Block Quotations

  • Block quotes should be formatted in Bookman Old Style, 10-point font, single line spacing, and indented 1 cm from both left and right margins.
  • Quotation marks should not be used in block quotes.
  • All references must follow the APA citation style.

5. Citation Style and References

  • In-text citations and references must adhere to the APA (American Psychological Association) style.
  • The reference list should be arranged alphabetically, and when necessary, chronologically.
  • If the same author has more than one publication in the same year, label them as "a", "b", "c" after the year (e.g., 2023a).
  • Line spacing for the reference list should be 1.5, with 6 pt spacing before and after paragraphs.
  • Do not use numbering or bullet points in the reference list.
